PIRCH Highlighted in SFVBJ’s “Retail Redux” at the Glendale Galleria

Been to the Glendale Galleria lately? If not, be prepared to be impressed. Mall owner General Growth Properties has completed a massive renovation that includes the opening of a Bloomingdale’s store and luxury boutiques in the connecting wing. One store is selling an exotic handbag for $35,000. Call it Beverly Hills East. The Galleria was spurred to renovate to compete with the adjacent Americana at Brand outdoor mall. The winners are shoppers who can afford ultra luxury goods, and the rest of us who enjoy simply pointing and saying “Wow!”
