Cosentino is a family-owned company that produces and distributes high-value innovative surfaces for the world of design and architecture.

In 1940, Eduarda and Eduardo Cosentino started quarrying and carrying out basic marble processing. When their three sons joined the business, they created Marmoles Cosentino in 1979 with only 17 workers and a small warehouse in Barcelona. During the 80s they expanded business across Europe, invested in research and innovation and diversified their product—which led to Silestone in 1990. This product took off, and remains a huge success in the kitchen worktop sector.

The Cosentinos continue to commit to research and development and are constantly improving their materials. They have created sectors such as ECO by Cosentino, which is Cosentino's recycled surface; Sensa, the company's line of granite with unique anti-stain protection, and Dekton—a highly resilient ultra-compact surface that aims to revolutionize the world of architecture and design worldwide.
