Home Sales Boost Home Improvement Retailers
With the help of some major mall operators, San Diego-based home furnishings retailer Fixtures Living Inc. is looking to capitalize on a rising housing market and grow its national footprint.
The company has new stores opening this fall at Westield Group’s Westfield UTC mall, and also at General Growth Properties’ Glendale Galleria near Los Angeles. It is currently working with those and other large mall companies, such as Simon Property Group Inc., to expand into several more U.S. cities over the next four years, with the irst stores set to debut in Chicago, Dallas, Houston and San Jose during 2014 and 2015.
